300 years of spanish oppression
300 years of thick Spanish beer. What a nightmare. Until in 1810 a Mexican, maverick priest, Father Hidalgo, put together a rag tag army and ignited the fire of revolution.
They fought the Spanish, beat off the French and even brought down their own dictator. After 7 long decades the battle was over.
Independence meant they were finally free to brew their own beer.
Fresh, light, this one was different. As if a message from deceased Father Hidalgo, a beam of light pierced through a hole in the brewery’s roof, illuminating its golden colour. They named it “El Sol”.
Democratisation of Mexico
The new millennium saw the democratisation of Mexico. The people were free and Sol blossomed around the world.
