MonteMateo is an estate of 1 Hectare situated in the Natural Reserve of "La Sierra de Aracena, to the north of Huelva, west andalucia. The property is 4 Km to Galaroza, one of the most beautiful villages in the area and 1 Km to Navahermosa, a tiny hamlet.
In Winter the climate is mild but sometimes wet with cold nights and in Summer it is hot and dry in the daytime and cool at night. The abundant vegetation and surrounding hills make it much cooler in the Summer than in other areas of Andalusia.
The estate is situated in a sloping, aleepy valley protected from the winds and south facing. The house, which sleeps seven, is surroundep by a huge garden that comprises oleve groves, cork trees, a pear orchard and varius bathing pools.
The two storey cottage which sleeps 7 is completly new (2001) and fully furnished. It comprises a dining/drawing room with fireplace, TV an DVD, a fully-fitted kitchen/breakfast room, two doble bedrooms and one room whit three single beds, wiht linen, two bathrooms (including towels) a 60 m2 veranda and a terrace.
The house has been built according to the traditional rustic style of the region using materials of the best quality- solid wooden beans, solid chesnut window frames, hand made terracotta floor tiles and double glazing for efficient insulation.
The covered veranda is east facing- making the best of the morning sun and stunning view- The veranda terrace is beautiful paved using a typical local method found only in the Sierra. The apacious terrace is south facing and has a barbecue.
The nearest village for shopping and supplies is 4 km away and the main town is only 15 km away. Sevilla airport can be easily reached and is only 100 km from the house, Jerez airport is 180 Km or alternatively Málaga airport is 300 km. The nearest Portuguese aisport is Faro and this is 150 km.
The house is cinnected to the mains electricity and water supply. The new swimming pool is 6x4 mts whit filter system.
The maintenance of the garden and swimming pool is provided by the owner.
