Have you ever thought about staying in the heart of this bull-breeding ranch? About sharing the natural environment of the Santa Coloma bulls? It is time to forget all of your worries. The magic of El Añadio will give you a tremendous opportunity to do just this.
A 350-hectare pasture located on the slopes of the Sierra Morena, in the north east of Jaen province, where since the middle of the 19th Century successive generations of the same family have dedicated themselves to their great passion: the breeding of this marvellous animal.
We have prepared all of the necessary security measures so that you can share your stay with the pleasant countryside life; its surrogate cows, studs, calves, bulls and bullocks, leading oxen, horses, as well as the wild flora and fauna of the area.
You will be given the opportunity to get an insider’s view of the typical activities of this kind of farming and the use of its farming facilities: enclosures, farmyards, plaza de tientas (bullring), piers…and feel your emotions. You will enjoy nature’s best, without having to give up any of life’s comforts. And, above all, whilst respecting the environment. In order to do so, we use renewable energy with energy saving devices (biomass and solar power), and we purify our waste water by biological means to re-use it for irrigation; the gardens, orchards and pastures are never chemically treated.
All of our rooms have been prepared by hand using local products, respectfully restoring the housing originally constructed by the ranch’s old farmers and cowboys. You will discover that they are different, and that each has its own charm, much like the people of the countryside.

For exclusive use of our guests there are communal areas and services: dining room, where we serve our traditional dishes; log-fired oven; living rooms with fireplaces and digital TV; a small, specialised library; pool with magnificent views and poolside bar; patios to take a siesta; gardens to dream; stalls for yours and our horses; bullring and pens.
Lodging
At your disposal are seven double rooms and a suite with living room and fireplace. All rooms are equipped with a full bathroom and are thermally and acoustically insulated, as well as having heating, air conditioning and have wireless internet. The beds’ mattresses are made of hi-tech latex; bedding is made of natural maize fibre with anti-stress carbon properties, with an array of pillows and quilts. Additional beds and cots are also available.

El Añadio offers a comprehensive array of free time activities, divided into three general categories, enabling each guest to find the perfect balance between fun and relaxation, with an individually tailor made experience.
There are activities with the bulls, equestrian activities and outdoor activities.
Where to find us
El Añadio is situated in the municipal district of Vilches, Jaen province, in the north-east of Andalusia. The estate is reached via its country lane, suitable for all vehicles, which is accessed from km 11.9 of the A-301 regional motorway, from La Carolina to Úbeda, (junction 266 or 268 of the A-4 Madrid-Seville motorway, or from the N-322 Cordoba-Valencia).
Vilches also has a train station on the Madrid-Cadiz line.
