Discover the Taste of Freedom
300 years of oppression
300 years of thick Colonial beer. What a nightmare. Until in 1810 a Mexican, maverick priest: Father Hidalgo put together a rag tag army and ignited the fire of revolution.
Long Decades
They fought the Spanish, beat off the French and even brought down their own dictator. After 7 long decades the battle was over.
Independency!
Independence meant they were finally free to brew their own beer.
El Sol
Fresh, light, this one was different. As if a message from deceased Father Hidalgo, a beam of light pierced through a hole in the brewery’s roof, illuminating it’s golden colour. They named it* “El Sol”.
Democratisation of Mexico
The new millennium saw the democratisation of Mexico. The people were free and Sol blossomed around the world.
