Some of the peaks of the Sierra Nevada are over 3000 metres high which make it the highest mountain range in Western Europe after the Alps. The Mulhacén peak(3481m) is the highest one in the Iberian Peninsula.

The Veleta has 3,398 meters of altitude and has the highest highway of Europe to arrive at its summit. Nevertheless, for years, it has been cut to about 20 km of the summit (2,700 ms of altitude) to all the motor vehicles. Possible on foot or bicycle.

Is one of the most beautiful points of the region. A picnic spot next to the cascade exists. Is located 10 km between Yegen and Mecina Bombaron. It is possible to be arrived in car or on foot.

Belonging to the Beticas mountain range, the Sierra de Baza Natural Park, is located between the two vast plains of Hoya de Guadix-Granada and Llanos del Marquesado. Covered in vegetation, this spectacular mound reaches heights of up to 2000m.
