The amount of natural territory in Mallorca is significant. Approximately 40% of the Mallorcan natural territory is protected! The landscape is marked by the contrast of caves, pinewood forests, african junipers, green hills, and rough mountains. In the north, the Sierra Tramuntana exceeds the natural landscape with a peak that surpasses 1400 meters.

Next to this mountain range are located some of the most picturesque villages in Malloroca, such as Deià, Pollença and Valldemossa. The natural beauty of this particular atmosphere has captured artist’s attention for centuries.

The underground of Mallorca hoards a comparable beauty to that of the surface. Modern discovers were surprised to find natural caves which served as a refuge for prehistoric inhabitants and now different types of animals. Artificial lights reveal spectacular natural cathedrals in which the water has been forming its rock walls for millions of years. Visit Caves of Drac, Caves of Artá, Caves of Campanet y Caves of Hams.

Another recommended visit is to Maritime and Terrestrial National Park of Cabrera, a set of islands and islets located a little more than an hour trip from Mallorca.
